Research Interests: Students use of models in authentic contexts; Student and faculty perceptions of modeling and model use; Model use in Biology & Physics
I am a second year doctoral student in the department of Teaching, Learning, Policy & Leadership (TLPL) at the University of Maryland. I have been working with the ChERG team since Spring 2011. In addition to taking classes and doing research, I am active in the graduate student government and academic affairs committees on campus. When not doing work, I'm busy being a hardcore Modern Family addict, being outdoors, or experimenting in the kitchen.

Research Interests: Students interpretation of molecular models used in large lectures
I have been a member of ChERG since the summer of 2009 and will be graduating in Spring of 2012. I currently hope
to go to medical school upon graduation and am studying Physiology and Neurobiology. I am president of the
group Play it Forward and work at the Eppley Recreation Center. My two proudest accomplishments are reaching 100% completion in Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and becoming the ultimate pokemon master because I have caught
them all. My two favorite TV shows are Gold Rush Alaska and Call of the Wildman... I highly suggest you watch both.
